Estimates and quotes

Create an estimate or quote for a client before any work is logged, send it, and turn an accepted one into an invoice. Invoices without logged time (materials, fixed fees, per-unit work) arrived with Contracts beyond time.

Timesheets only mode

The ability to send timesheets only without an invoice. This feature should be configurable to include an hourly rate or exclude it.

Referral programme: give a month, get a month

Share your link; a friend who signs up through it gets their first month free, and you get a month credited once they have paid for theirs. A referral page on the web and in the app shows your link, who joined and what you earned. Trial invoices carry a small "Sent with Ataru" line that disappears the moment you subscribe.

Project Xenon

Xenon-135 beta decays into Cesium-135. Xenon will be a superset of Cesium and allow for collaboration of teams using Cesium features.

Better support: report a problem with everything we need attached

Report a problem from the place it happened, in one action. The report carries the version, page, browser and recent errors automatically, says so on the form, and you can attach a screenshot. Every report gets a reference and a reply.

Guided import: the wizard asks only what your data needs

Importing from Toggl, Clockify, Harvest or any CSV becomes a short set of questions raised by the file itself: a project with no client, entries with no project, names that nearly match ones you already have, a missing rate, work before a date you have already billed. Unrecognised files get a column mapper, and importing the same file twice never duplicates anything. Each channel shows how well tested it is; volunteers on the less-tested ones get a free month.

One click on the products page gives you a working account seeded with realistic sample data for a day, no form, no email. Keep it and it becomes your trial with everything you did still there. Every help article is readable without signing in.

Contracts beyond time: per-unit work, fixed fees, retainers and milestones

Bill work that is not an hour: pages, words, photos or screens at a unit price, a fixed fee per deliverable, a monthly retainer with an hours allowance, milestones and day rates. Items live on the project with a price list, land in Unbilled beside your time, invoice with quantity and unit price columns, and count in Income, the statement and Taxes on the day they are delivered. Hours on a fixed-fee project are covered by the fee unless you say otherwise. Materials priced per unit are part of this. Web and app together.

Partial payments and disputes: a payments ledger per invoice

Record what a client actually paid, when and how, as many times as it takes. An invoice becomes partially paid with a visible balance; settle the rest by writing it off with a reason, carrying it to the next invoice, or keeping it open and chasing it. Mark an invoice disputed with notes until it is resolved. Bank fees post as expenses, overpayments become client credit, receipts and balance reminders show the amounts, the invoice shows payments and amount due, and a statement of account per client reconciles everything. Web and app together.
