Plans, payments, refunds, canceling, and what happens to your data.
Pay as you go. Cancel anytime; access continues until the end of the current billing period.
Pay once for the year and save 20%. Prorated refund available if you cancel mid-term.
When your free trial ends you will need to choose a plan to keep using Cesium. Your data is kept for 90 days after the trial's last day: download it from the Billing page at any time, or choose a plan and carry on where you left off. We email you the day before your trial ends, the day after it ends, and 30 days before your data is deleted. After 90 days it is permanently deleted.
While your trial runs, a plan card at the bottom of the sidebar shows how many days are left and when it ends, with Subscribe one click away. It turns amber in the last three days and red once the trial has ended. In a narrow browser window, such as a phone's, the card sits in the menu, and a slim line under the title bar appears in the last three days. The same card tells you when a payment has failed or a plan is set to cancel.
Yes. Monthly subscribers retain access until the end of their current billing period. Annual subscribers can either cancel and receive a prorated refund of unused months, or keep access until their anniversary - see the refund policy below. Cancel from the Billing page here.
In your account, open Billing and click Update Payment Method. It opens Stripe's secure page, where you can change your card and see past invoices. Sign up to start your free trial.
Full refund if you cancel within 30 days of your first paid charge as a new subscriber.
refund = paid amount minus (months elapsed x current monthly rate). Example: $48 annual, cancel at month 4, refund = $48 - (4 x $5) = $28.
Refunds appear in 5-10 business days on your original payment method.
You can switch between Monthly and Annual at any time. Monthly to Annual is immediate: you pay the annual price today, less a credit for the unused part of your month, and your annual year starts that day. Annual to Monthly is immediate with prorated refund (within ~9 months) or scheduled at anniversary (later in term). During your free trial a switch is immediate either way: the trial carries on and your first charge is the new plan's.
While a change is still in progress, the Billing page says so and holds the switch: a switch scheduled for your next billing date (you can keep your current plan instead), a change Stripe is still finishing, usually within an hour, or a switch to Annual whose payment was declined. A declined switch leaves your plan as it was: update your payment method and it completes once the payment goes through, or it is dropped after a day. The page checks again every minute and lets you switch once it is done.
Your data is preserved for 90 days after your subscription or free trial ends. You can sign in to download a ZIP export at any time, or subscribe again and carry on where you left off. We email you at Day 60 before deletion. After 90 days, data is permanently removed.
If a renewal payment fails, your subscription enters a 14-day grace period during which you keep full access. We send you an email immediately and another one day before access ends. Stripe automatically retries the payment several times during the grace period.
